Dr. Abubakr Shafi purchased the dental practice from Dr. Margret Quimby DDS in December 2024. Dr. Shafi moved his family from Southern Maryland to the Eastern Shore. He was a full time dentist for many years at Patuxent Dental after receiving his undergrad degree at UMBC in Maryland, he completed his dental education at Howard University in DC. He went on to complete general practice residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT where he received the award for the best dentist in the program for Comprehensive Dentistry. Dr. Shafi strives to provide excellent dental care by listening to his patients' needs, educating them, and developing a personalized treatment plan that will allow them to have a healthy beautiful smile. During his free time he enjoys taking part in outdoor activities, traveling, BBQing, and spending time with his wife and children.
